Ramsay & Partners welcomes new Associate - Chantelle Biersay LLM

Chantelle is an Associate Attorney in the firm's Transactional Practice. Her practice areas include corporate and commercial law, real estate law, conveyancing, capital market transactions in project financing & acquisitions, estate planning and administrations of estates. 
 
Practicing since January 2020, Chantelle’s experience in these areas has allowed her to successfully serve and support local and international individuals, companies and financial institutions in their various transactions. She has assisted senior counsel and has been lead counsel in successful litigation matters and settlements concerning real estate law, administration of estates and debt recovery in the Supreme Court of Jamaica. 
 
Chantelle obtained a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial law from the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies where she is also a first-class honours graduate from the Bachelor of Laws programme. She is also a graduate of the Norman Manley Law school, where she successfully completed her legal education by obtaining her Legal Education Certificate. Throughout her legal academic journey, Chantelle was the recipient of various scholarships and served as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies.  She is also a member of the Jamaica Bar Association.
 
As a trained Classical Ballerina and Indian Dancer, Chantelle’s journey in the preservation of East Indian Culture in Jamaica has allowed her to receive a myriad of cultural awards and accolades – with the most prestigious being the Prime Minister’s National Youth Award for Excellence in Arts and Culture in 2012.
